About AGC

Laying of the foundation stone in 2002 as Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology with the avowed aim of providing affordable technical and quality education, today ACET has grown ACET has grown into Amritsar Group of Colleges, a dynamic research and teaching institution with a tradition of anticipating and leading change. The group is further approved by the concerned regulatory bodies like AICTE, PCI, and New Delhi and affiliated to IKGPTU, Kapurthala, and PSBTE&IT Chandigarh. The Group provides an excellent education and experience to its more than 4000 students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Its more than 350 academic staff is recognized internationally for their cutting-edge research in more than 25 disciplines. AGC’s reputation is built on its strengths in the fields of Engineering, Management, Agriculture, Pharmacy, and Law. Its students benefit from the interdisciplinary, active, hands-on approach to teaching and research practiced by its faculty members. AGC, being the first Top Engineering College in Northern India, having Cyber Security and Big Data Labs is the top engineering college in Punjab. Amritsar Group of Colleges is accredited by NAAC in the category of Grade ‘A’. The institute also prides itself on being accredited by NBA (twice). ACET has also been conferred with the Autonomous Status by Universities Grant Commission.

Placements

AGC’s slogan Right Place for a Bright Career, all expressed and an idealistic view, the vision for which Amritsar Group of Colleges stands for. The group has once again proved its leadership in campus placements by clocking job offers for the 2021 pass-out batch with 80% of students being placed during virtual placement drives. 24 students bagged a pay package of INR 10 Lakh per annum in BYJU’s, 18 students bagged job offers in TCS with the package of 7.5 Lakh per annum, 11 students have been placed in Luminous at a package of 7 lakhs and 8 students getting placed in Sopra Steria at the package of 6 lakh per annum is another feather of the bunch. Continuing the legacy the students from Hotel Management, MBA, BBA and BCA have also bagged job placements with prestigious employers of their respective fields like Courtyard, Marriot, Hyatt Group of Hotels, Radisson Blu Hotels, Jaro Education, Siya Ram Transports, Rallison Tyres, Coca Cola and many more. These students have been placed with an average salary package of 5.25 Lakhs.
