Jordana “Jordy” Rachel Glassner (née Epstein), the co-host of the Grief Street podcast and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, has died at the age of 34 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Glassner passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, January 13, surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home.
Her death was confirmed through a statement shared on her Instagram, prompting an outpouring of grief and tributes from listeners, friends, and fellow creators who followed her journey and were deeply impacted by her work.

She is also remembered lovingly by her mother-in-law Arlene Glassner, brother-in-law Eric Glassner, and her extended family, friends, and community.
A Life of Purpose and Advocacy
Professionally, Jordy Glassner was a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree in psychology, specializing in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Her clinical work, combined with her lived experience, made her a trusted voice in conversations around mental health, grief, and healing.
After being diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, Glassner chose to speak openly and publicly about her illness. Her honesty created a space where many felt seen, understood, and less alone. That same spirit of connection lived on through Grief Street, a podcast that explored grief, loss, and humanity through deeply personal storytelling.
In August 2023, Glassner revealed she had been experiencing weeks of arm weakness and numbness before receiving her diagnosis. Her reflections on hope, fear, and community resonated with thousands who followed her journey.
