Roth’s sister Lindsay announced on Instagram Monday that the TikTok star died from unknown causes. Kyle earned over 170,000 followers through her videos on TikTok where she would comment on current events in pop culture and delve into celebrity gossip. Her plain, straightforward opinions on celebs also led to her rise on TikTok.

Kyle Marisa Roth began posting TikTok content to her account @thekylemarisa_ on August 26th, 2022. Her content centered on celebrity gossip early on. Across videos spanning from 2022 to 2024, Roth established a catchphrase that she’d say before every blind item read, “You want more? I’ll give you more.” By April 16th, 2024, Roth had amassed over 200,900 followers on TikTok.

On April 7th, 2024, Roth posted her last TikTok concerning a JoJo Siwa blind item. About a week later, on April 15th, 2024, Roth’s sister Lindsay Roth shared a post on Instagram, announcing the death of her sister Kyle Roth. She wrote, “my sister Kyle Marisa passed away last week. as a family we are still processing and deciding how to properly celebrate and honor her life…” The post gained over 8,000 likes in a day

“As a family we are still processing and deciding how to properly celebrate and honour her life. We don’t know [what] happened yet,” Roth’s sister Lindsay said in a post.

“She had so many gifts. If anyone wants to connect about Kyle, I’m here to talk and share memories. So many (liked) her humour, intelligence, beauty, gossip activism, athleticism and more,” Lindsay further added.

Lindsay said she would let Kyle’s followers know about any memorials they are planning and stressed that her heart went out to anyone who loved Kyle’s content.

“I am so sorry to those learning about this loss right now. Any prayers, thoughts, blessings or intentions for this soul’s smooth transition are welcomed,” she further added.

Kyle’s mother Jacquie also took to LinkedIn to speak on how she is grappling with her daughter’s loss. “This is not a platform for personal life shares but so many of my connections on this platform go back years, and I have a devastating loss to share. My daughter Kyle has passed away. She touched some of your lives personally and some of your lives via her immense life on another platform. Kyle loved and lived fiercely. Nothing makes sense now and we’ll understand more in the next few days. Be kind to one another please,” Jacquie said in a heartbreaking message on LinkedIn.

Celebrity fan Julia Fox, famous for playing the character Julia De Fiore in Uncut Gems, also extended her condolences. “I know I never met Kyle in real life, but I really felt like I knew her. I’m so devastated and have been crying ever since the news leaked on TikTok. I really hope she didn’t suffer and I hope she knew how much she touched our lives,” Fox said, while commenting under Lindsay’s Instagram post.
