Organic Garden Soil

For a healthy organic vegetable garden, you need to start with healthy soil. The most important component in the soil is the organic matter, such as manure, peat moss, or compost—the latter is the best option because it contains decayed microorganisms of previous plant life. Those microorganisms supply plants with the nutrients they need. You can create your own compost pile by designating an area or bin where the organic matter will decompose. Or you can buy it in bulk if you have a large garden, or use bagged compost available at garden centers and home improvement stores.

Reduce weeds by spreading a 1- to 2-inch-thick layer of mulch on the soil. It creates a barrier that prevents weeds from getting sunlight and from germinating. This mulch layer also prevents fungal disease spores from drifting onto plant leaves. Use an organic material (such as cocoa hulls, weed-free straw, or newspaper) as mulch so as it decomposes it adds beneficial organic matter to the soil.

Organic Garden Mix

Organic Garden Mix is a special soil mix containing coarse sand, composted sawdust, composted pine bark, composted organics, and spent coffee grounds.

It also uses the same composting procedure used by grinding green waste, maturing and particle sizing that the Premium Garden Mix does to be created, however with combining spent coffee grounds, it creates a product that can help rejuvenate garden areas that have suffered from plant disease, burnt off soil areas and can help top up garden bed areas.

Organic Garden Mix is also useful for growing vegetables, herbs, and fruit plants. With its course sand component, it is also free draining which helps plants grow quickly, helping to maintain healthy root structures that some plants require. Organic Garden Mix helps to retain moisture to keep the soil moist and healthy. Suited for vegetables, fruit, grass ornamental shrubs, vines, shade & flowering trees. Organic Garden Mix can also be handled by people that are susceptible to allergens and are generally safe for children to be around.

Garden Fertilizer

Fertilisers contain concentrated sources of plant nutrients in chemical or organic form. Most contain major plant nutrients, which plants need in relatively large amounts. Some also contain trace elements, which plants only need in tiny amounts. All fertilisers should quote their N:P:K ratio on the product packaging.

Gypsum for soil

Gypsum helps soil better absorb water and reduces erosion. It also cuts down on phosphorus movement from soils to lakes and streams and improves the quality of various fruits and vegetables, among other benefits.
